Primrose Preserve is a 3.79 acre parcel that was donated to Harding Land Trust in
2004. This property is an important component of the Primrose Brook Greenway,
which is a corridor of preserved properties that safeguard stream water quality,
serve as a conduit for plants and animals to move throughout the stream corridor,
and provide natural areas to filter pollutants carried by stormwater runoff from
adjacent developed areas.

Primrose Preserve is an important contributing property to this Greenway because
of it's location, immediately downstream from Route 287. It is also an ecological
wonder in it's own right. The property consists of forested wetlands along both
sides of the stream corridor that include American beech, spicebush, red oak,
hickory and flowering dogwood. Even with the property's close proximity to Route
287 a variety of wildlife have been observed.
